While monsoon winds bring the fresh breeze of air to your senses, it also means a weather change and therefore, an undeniable threat of viral fever. The rain brings in a lot of thrill, excitement, and germs while you are busy enjoying the relief from heated summer waves. The latter one isn’t a welcome guest but is the most persistent one. Once infested and infected, it takes your body down in whatever ways it can and the first response of your body is to increase your body temperature to fight those stubborn germs. It’s nothing unusual, nothing life-threatening but it is surely capable of stealing a productive day from your busy schedule.

A usual viral fever can also be accompanied by a feeling of discomfort, irritability, infections, cold, and cough which can be treated well with some ayurvedically tested remedies.

Herbal Tulsi Kadha - A high fever generally dehydrates your body inviting inflammatory responses from your body. Your body needs a lot of fluids to keep up with your immune system and what better way to fulfill the hydration requirements than an herbal kadha of tulsi. You can prepare it easily by boiling some tulsi leaves with a pinch of black pepper and jaggery. Consume it while it’s still hot.

Kudzu Root - Kudzu is a well established medicinal plant in Ayurveda and its roots help a lot in complimenting your immune system to attack the infestation of germs. You can boil a cleaned Kudzu root for fifteen minutes and store it for consumption during the whole day. 

Turmeric Milk - The favorite herbal remedy of all the Indian Mothers out there has to be the turmeric milk. And why not? This power drink is here to boost your immunity and help you heal from terrible infections in a zilch of a moment. A glass of turmeric milk is a sure shot way to deal with your otherwise terrible fever.

Dried Ginger Powder - As our previous magic ingredient, ginger is also a therapeutic ingredient to help you up to your immunity game. Viral fever is all about your body’s ability to fight off germs and a combination of ginger and turmeric work wonders to get the job done. 

While all of the above remedies and tips shall save you a day and keep your doctor away, we do recommend consulting a professional physician if your fever remains persistent for more than a day. More often than not, what appears to be a persistent viral fever may be a symptom of another threatening disease that should never be ignored.
